CERT College of Law recently organized an enriching visit to the Lok Adalat, providing students with a hands-on experience of the judicial process and the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The visit was graced by the presence of Dr. Rajendra Yadav, Chairman (CERT and Shree Ram Group of Institutions), Dr. Kangna Yadav, MD (CERT and Shree Ram Group of Institutions), and Mr. Neeraj Kumar Rana, Head of the Department, CERT College of Law. Faculty members, including Mr. Pawan Kumar, Ms. Manisha Singh, Ms. Asha Singh, Ms. Shabiya Ali, and Ms. Anshika Choudhary, also accompanied the students, ensuring a valuable learning experience.
The visit commenced with warm wishes from Dr. Kangna Yadav, MD (CERT and Shree Ram Group of Institutions), who motivated the students to absorb as much practical knowledge as possible from the proceedings. The interaction with Lok Adalat proceedings gave the students an insightful understanding of the judicial framework and the role of ADR mechanisms in resolving disputes efficiently and amicably.
During the visit, students were exposed to real-time cases, including financial and banking matters, challans, matrimonial disputes, civil matters, and even compoundable criminal cases. Observing these cases helped students understand the practical application of legal principles in a real-world setting. They also had the opportunity to interact with a sitting judicial officer, who answered their queries and provided valuable insights into Lok Adalat proceedings.
This visit was a stepping stone for the students of CERT College of Law to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. It not only enhanced their understanding of ADR methods but also emphasized the significance of Lok Adalats in providing quick and cost-effective justice. Such initiatives are a testament to CERT College of Law's commitment to offering its students holistic legal education and practical exposure to build their careers as successful legal professionals.
